I say that without excusing the blowout. The last 10 minutes of the game, Poly ran Eversley as a point forward and on four or five posessions he hit wing players for a knock down three. At one point, they went on a 10-2 run. I say that because Cal Poly had to live and die by the three, and should have been spacing the floor from the get go. Nonetheless, it was special–I would hope next year we aren’t 10-19 and find a way to finish first in a winnable conference.

I, for one, believed that if anyone could beat Wichita State it would be us. They by no means had the best preseason or regular season they could have, but the momentum they built up and carried throughout the Big West Tournament and the first four game of the NCAA tournament was amazing. San Luis Obispo will not forget this team, nor this season for a very long time…until next season, Go Mustangs!
