How else can they even begin to build any talent on that team? There’s no free agents to sign that are going to be significantly impactful, they can’t count on getting anything in the draft, they should have traded Pau last offseason when he had more value. I love his game, but they aren’t going to win next year and Pau will just be another year older.
Also, as a Wiz (fan is not the right word…indentured supporter perhaps?) team watcher, any conversation that includes Antawn Jamison as being imperative to anything other than “contracts we don’t need to pay next year” is a nightmare.
